Guest Speaker: Rev. Stephen Chong Rev. Stephen Chong Spirit & Truth Fellowship Band is a diverse group of people from Spirit and Truth Fellowship: an inner city, North Philadelphia, Christian Reformed Church. The worship on Sunday morning consists of music, which is appropriate for reaching the neighborhood with familiar sounds of gospel, Spanish praise, contemporary worship music and hymns. Reconciling the world to Christ is the passion of Stephen Chong. Bringing people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and endeavoring to heal and unite God’s true family--composed of every nation, tribe, race, and tongue--are Stephen’s life-long ministry goals. These ideals were firmly imbedded in him during his years on the ministerial staff at Bethel AME Church, an African-American church in Boston. It was these years of ministry development at Bethel that forever played a crucial role in nurturing Stephen’s desires to eventually pastor a multi-ethnic church with strong community outreach ministries. After his studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, he left the Boston area to serve on the pastoral staff at New Covenant Fellowship Church in Germantown, MD. Over these years, he has had the privilege and honor of traveling frequently for various speaking engagements. Recently, he and his family lived in southern CA for about 11 months in researching communities that might be best suited for a multi-ethnic, suburban church. Then both he and his wife heard God’s call to go back east to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area in order to pursue this vision of planting and pastoring an ethnically diverse, contemporary church with cutting-edge ministries to reach various people. They moved into the Dulles Technology corridor in order to plant Jubilee Community Church. He and his wife, Ann, are the proud parents of Karis and Colin.
